Two decades as an engineer has not dulled my passion for building software, but I often end up acting as glue - pulling a team together to make them greater than the sum of their parts.

 

My speciality is shaping and leading high performance teams that embody kindness, respect and engineering excellence. I enjoy working in partnership with product, design, ops and marketing to define clarity and shared purpose, with a healthy dose of pragmatism.

Technically, I like highly scalable, distributed, fault tolerant cloud architectures, legacy modernization projects, and helping teams establish and understand the value of observable systems.

 

My skill set encompasses full stack development, architectural design, and platform engineering, across a range of disciplines including finance, utilities, startups and scaleups. Personal and professional interests include:
